What Is Orthopedic Urgent Care?

Orthopaedic urgent care, also known as direct orthopedic care, is very similar to regular urgent care clinics. The main difference is that, unlike regular urgent care, orthopaedic urgent care will not refer you to a specialist. Because we arethe specialists when it comes to orthopedic and sports injuries, you can save money by coming straight to our clinic rather than being referred to us by an urgent care or a primary care doctor.

We give our patients immediate access to quality orthopedic care as soon as they walk through our doors. If you have a broken bone, strained ligaments, or other sports injuries, our orthopaedic urgent care clinic can see you the same day you sustained the injury. Our clinic is conveniently located and easily accessible to residents in the Frisco area.

Common injuries that may require urgent orthopedic care could include the following:

  • Dislocated joints
  • Broken or fractured bones
  • Tendon injuries
  • Sprained ligaments
  • Torn ligaments
  • Neck pain
  • Back pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Swollen or painful joints
  • Various other musculoskeletal problems

While some of these orthopedic injuries typically send patients to the emergency room or urgent care facility, there are many benefits to seeking orthopedic care from fellowship-trained physicians specializing in orthopedic care.

Why Should I Come to SPORT Orthopedics + Physical Therapy’s Urgent Care Facility?

At SPORT Orthopedics + Physical Therapy, you’ll receive prompt treatment for your orthopedic injuries by board-certified orthopedic physicians. Our orthopedic services can save time and money, with reduced out-of-pocket expenses and wait times compared to most emergency room visits in the Dallas area.

After your orthopedic care visit, we can schedule your follow-up appointment with one of our dedicated orthopedic physicians.

Walk-ins are welcome at our Dallas and Fricso locations ONLY, and there’s no appointment required.

Regular Urgent Care vs Orthopedic Urgent Care

Our team of orthopedic specialists are extensively trained and dedicated to patient care.

When you see our team of orthopedic urgent care physicians, you can expect to receive the following benefits:

  • You won’t need to be referred out to an orthopedic specialist, as our doctors all are board certified and extensively trained. This saves time, money, and also allows for a better continuity of care, since you will see the same physician in our office for all of your treatment needs.
  • Since we only treat patients who are seeking orthopedic care, you’ll experience shorter wait times.
  • We’re able to treat your orthopedic injuries at a significantly lower cost when compared to an expensive emergency room visit.
  • We offer a cleaner and more sterile environment, when compared to most Dallas emergency rooms.
  • Our orthopedic facility has x-rays and other imaging available on site for more efficient treatment.

Unlike Frisco hospitals, you won’t receive an exponentially higher medical bill for urgent care visits at our orthopedic facility. The costs associated with emergency room visits are excessive and for some, this may become an overwhelming financial burden. This can be avoided by seeking an orthopedic urgent care provider at SPORT Orthopedics + Physical Therapy in Dallas or Frisco, TX.

We have the resources to provide our patients with specific treatment options, based on their individual needs without the need for extra fees. You won’t be billed at emergency room rates. This allows us to provide urgent care while you receive maximum insurance coverage under your insurance plan.

Schedule Your Urgent Orthopedic Care Appointment Today

You deserve reliable and professional orthopedic care when you’re injured or in pain. Instead of risking getting sick from visiting a Dallas ER or urgent care facility, consider seeking treatment from a board certified orthopedic surgeon or doctor at SPORT Orthopedics + Physical Therapy.

Between both of our orthopedic offices in the Dallas and Frisco area, our team is able to address all of your orthopedic needs during a same-day visit.

Walk-ins are welcome, but if you’d like to schedule a same-day appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, you can do so by calling (469) 200-2832 or scheduling online.
